History:
Esme Marzullo was born around the beginning of the Yuuzahn Vong War on the planet of Myrkr. The planet had been within control of an Imperial off shoot government for a number of years. When Esme was six months old the galactic turmoil caused the Imperial governor to crack down on civilian dissension, including the execution of her pro-Republic grandparents.

The death of the eldest Hunters had a reverberating effect on both Esme's childhood and the war effort against the Yuuzahn Vong as the Weapons corporation was nearly destroyed with the death of Thomas Hunter. After the deaths of this day Esme's mother Samara Hunter, taking her mother's maiden name of Galloway, abandoned Esme and her two siblings Victoria and Judd to seek revenge with the Sith. Returning from Chiss space where he'd been forming alliances between the Chiss Ascendancy and the Marzullo Clan, Gabriel Marzullo reclaimed his daughter Esme and the orphaned Hunter children and hide them on Hapes.

Like her mother Esme had inherited a unique genetic fluke soon to be discovered as a new neurotransmitter that interacted with the brain. This effect was a yet fully understood trait that acted as an on and off switch with the Force. For several years it was believed that Esme held no Force talent, though the Jedi admitted that her lack of a force persence was a curiosity in light of the Yuuzahn Vongs own lack of a connection to the force.

It was several years later that this observation was proven wrong. The deaths at the battle of Fondor had an terrifying effect on Gabriel had his siblings, stripping the five Marzullos of the force. For Esme the light switch was turned on and her first exposure of the force was accompanied by this sudden shock wave of Hapen deaths. These events left Esme scared and fearful of the force. Short after the Battle of Fondor Gabriel hide the toddler on Csilla in the care of his Chiss friends until the end of the war.

A year after the Yuuzahn Vong war the newly redeemed Samara Galloway reclaimed the six year old Esme and brought her to the Jedi Temple on Naboo to be trained with the Jedi. Though outwardly the girl was social, Esme was inwardly rather reclusive for many years after her arrival on Naboo. She continued to refused to open up to the force again and many Jedi wondered if it was prudent to encourage the girl in light of the various dark emotions she had. Never the less Esme's mother worked with helping the girl over come her fear of the force and training herself to control this ability just as Samara had learned to control her own innate ability.

Eventually Esme caught the eye of Jedi Master Kyp Zeth Durron who took her as his padawan. As a padawan Esme further over came her fear of the Force, though under her growing facade was a storm of hatred towards the force of evil. During the four years of her training as a padawan Esme was involved in a number of conflicts Including the Imperial invasion of her homeworld of Hapes.

During the Hapes crisis Esme was on Gallinore, a Hapen planet with whom her mother was the Ducha of, when a small Imperial force arrived to secure the treasure world. She joined the Gallinore militia in fighting off the invading force. After the defense she was involved with a joint rescue effort to free Hapen and Rebel POWs.
